After the inial film was pushed back due to the character designs; Sonic the Hedgehog finally hit theaters this past February. it was met with high praise for the redone designs and humor in the children’s animated/live-action film. During the film’s post-credit scene it features Sonic’s longtime friend Tails in search of Sonic himself. It was unknown however if a sequel would ever get made.
Now today, Variety announced that director Jeff Fowler will return to the helm the sequel. With Pat Casey and Josh Miller also returning to pen the script. Let’s just hope we get Jim Carrey back as Doctor Robotnik. As his initial performance was met with high praise…
