Today, a report announced that Mark Ruffalo will reprise his role of Bruce Banner in Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures’ upcoming film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. This will be Mark Ruffalo’s tenth appearance in the MCU as Bruce Banner/The Hulk/ However, Banner has not appeared since becoming Professor Hulk in Avengers: Endgame and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. It’s unknown if he will revert to Bruce Banner in the future and have his savage Hulk persona reappear.
This also marks another adult Avenger teaming up with Spider-Man in a film after Iron Man, Nick Fury, and Doctor Strange. Follow the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, nobody on Earth knows Peter Parker is Spider-Man, so it’s unknown how Banner will come to help Spider-Man in the film. His role will be a supporting role, not a small cameo. Production begins later this year after Avengers: Doomsday finishes.
