Today, a report has gone out that Paramount Pictures is going once again to adapt Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a live-action movie. This time, they will adapt the comic The Last Ronin into a rated-R adult feature film. Tyler Burton Smith (Boys Kills World, Child’s Play) is attached to pen the script. Walter Hamada is producing through his 18hz production banner.

In the comics, all the turtles have died except one, and he takes on Ronin’s mantle against The Foot Clan. However, it’s unknown which turtle is the last. A video game based on the comic was also revealed last year. Alan Ritchson (Reacher) originally played Raph in the last live-action films in 2014 and 2016 via motion capture, which also starred Megan Fox as April O’Neil. It would be interesting if the actor is ever asked to return to this new spin-off original film or if they go in a new direction.
