Earlier this week, production began on the Far Cry live-action TV series in development for FX. Noah Hawley (Fargo, Alien: Earth) and Rob Mac developed the series for the network. Hawley will also direct the first two episodes of the anthology series. The video game adaptation stars Rob Mac (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Lizzy Caplan (Now You See Me 2), and Steve Buscemi (Wednesday). The rest of the cast was also announced, including Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin), Jennifer Jason Leigh (Fargo), Hamish Linklater (Midnight Mass), Sam Spruell (A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms), and Jamie Demetriou (Stath Lets Flats). Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts; Monica Macer will produce alongside Peter Calloway, John Campisi, and Gerard Guillemot; Margaret Boykin and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television. Production is underway at Pinewood Studios in the UK.
