Today, Daniel Ritchman revealed on his Patreon that actress Sadie Sink has entered talks to join the cast of Beetlejuice 2. She is best known for playing the not-so-girly Max Mayfield on Netflix’s Stranger Things. The 1988 dark-comedy starring Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice is a cult classic, and fans have wanted a sequel for several decades. Sink is rumored to play Winona Ryder’s daughter in the upcoming sequel.

It looks like director Tim Burton is finally returning with most of the original cast, including Winona Ryder. According to The Direct, Catherine O’Hara will also return as Delia from the original film. During the Wednesday press tours last Fall, the director mentioned that he has been “working on some ideas” for the sequel. However, production on the film could begin sometime later this year.
