RUMOR: ‘Black Panther 2’ Will Introduce Doctor Doom

BLACK PANTHER 2 DOCTOR DOOM

Today, our friend Charles Murphy of Murphys Multiverse revealed a few new details regarding the state of Ryan Cooglar’s Black Panther 2. Charles stresses that he could not confirm this information through a secondary source and he himself considers it a rumor until it can be verified. However, according to his sources, it seems Black Panther 2 will introduce Victor Von Doom before he inevitably clashes with the Fantastic Four (Possibly hitting in 2022/2023). The film could be based on the comic book arc Black Panther: Doomwar. And since the film will indeed take place during modern-day Wakanda after the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. It would make sense that Victor had survived Thanos’s snap and has expanded his empire into Africa towards Wakanda during the 5-year jump between the two films. However, it is still unknown if this all could be verified.

Many fans were hoping Black Panther 2 would introduce Namor as the anti-hero/antagonist of the film and have the Atlanteans finally emerge in the MCU and go to war with Wakanda. But many don’t know the legality that comes with introducing Namor since Universal Studios still technically owns the rights to the character. And they have been stubborn in the past when it comes to The Hulk. Stating Hulk can’t be used in any MCU title thus Planet Hulk became Thor: Ragnarok. So who knows if Namor will ever see the light of day…

Black Panther 2 hits May 6th, 2022
