‘Friday the 13th’ Remake Finally Gets Moving

In late 2018,  it had been revealed by Variety that LeBron James production company SpringHill Entertainment was looking to acquire the rights to the Friday the 13th film series. The last film was released in 2009, which saw the first couple of Jason Voorhes films smashed together into one modern film. Many fans of the franchise liked this idea as opposed to the 2010 remake of Nightmare on Elm Street. Which was just a shot-for-shot remake of the original. However, after the massive success of 2018’s Halloween which saw the return of Micheal Myers. Many fans wanted to know when Jason would grace the screen once more.

Now according to Daniel Richman’s Patreon, a new film is in early development. Not much is known about the project at this point. Blumhouse Productions head Jason Blum has mentioned in the past his company would also like a crack at the character. Only left would be the return of Freddy Krueger in Nightmare on Elm Street…
