Today, a report announced that DC Studios is looking at actor Colin Farrell for the lead role in Sgt. Rock. The character was originally going to be developed by director Luca Guadagnino and star Daniel Craig. However, Craig dropped out of the role after the poor reception of his latest film Queer. Farrell has already gained acclaim from Matt Reeves for his role as The Penguin in The Batman universe. As this will be two different DC universes, it is okay for him to play both roles. Justin Kuritzkes is also penning the film after working on Challengers and Queer.

Sgt. Rock has no set release date
