While Quartine Parties are becoming commonplace on social media. Many directors are using the time to reveal new information on the films they watch alongside fans during the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, Into the Spider-Verse writer & producer Chris Miller revealed that during the development process of the animated film; he along with Phil Lord pitch a post-credit tag that would have included all past “Spider-Men”.
This would have featured Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland all as the web-slinger. The studio passed on the idea which is surprising considering getting all three actors to voice record a scene seems far simpler than a live-action crossover.
We pitched the Sony brass an ambitious tag involving Spider-Ham, Tobey, Andrew, and Tom. They felt it was “too soon”#SpiderVerse #QuarantineWatchParty https://t.co/E91H1eLysr
