Today, Paramount Pictures officially decided to move forward with a G.I.Joe reboot by Danny McBride. The film was in development for a while and was still expected to begin filming sometime next year. Many wondered what this meant for the Transformers and G.I. Joe crossover film teased in Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

Unfortunately, the studio has killed the film after hiring Derek Connolly to pen the script in 2024. Chris Hemsworth was also circling the lead human role after voicing Optimus Prime in the animated film Transformers One. Not to mention, Peter Cullen recently passed away after voicing Optimus for almost four decades, since the 1980s (via TMZ).
