Today, a report announced that Bradley Cooper has officially joined Danny McBride’s upcoming G.I. Joe live-action reboot as Duke (originally played by Channing Tatum). The actor was first rumored back in July for the role, but it was unknown which character he might play. Comedian Danny McBride is set to direct the project after developing a script with Jeff Fradley and John Carcieri. This film is expected to be very small-scale, in the vein of Resident Evil, rather than the globetrotting adventure of past films. The Joes are sent to investigate a small town and learn it’s been overrun by Cobra agents. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Mark Vahradian, and Zev Foreman will produce for Hasbro Entertainment.
G.I. Joe reboot has no set release date
