Over the last week, many noticed that screenwriter Michael Waldron was attached to a Nova project on the WGA website. It was unknown at the time if it would be for a movie or the long-in-development TV series for Disney+. Now, a new report has revealed that Waldron is penning a full-length Nova feature film for Marvel Studios. Waldron is best known for writing Loki season 1 and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and for helping with Avengers: Doomsday. The report also reveals he could also be attached to direct the film, but that is not finalized. Nova’s homeworld, Xandar, was destroyed off-screen by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War, so it’s unclear how that will fit into his story going forward. It’s also unknown if this is the Richard Rider or Sam Alexander version of the character.
Nova has no set release date
