Today, a report announced that director Steven Caple Jr. is set to helm I Am Legend 2 for Warner Bros. He is best known for directing Creed 2 and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts. However, while promoting his recent series Man on Fire, the director revealed he is also working on the sequel to I Am Legend. It is expected to be a direct sequel to the original film, but to feature the alternate ending in which Dr. Robert Neville (played by Will Smith) survives his grenade blast rather than dying like in the theatrical cut. Michael. B Jordan is also still in talks to star in the film alongside Smith’s return.
