Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan Are Developing an ‘I Am Legend’ Sequel

Today, Variety announced that actors Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan will be teaming up to develop a sequel to 2007s I Am Legend. The original film saw the population become zombies/vampires after an outbreak virus. Will Smith’s character is the only human immune to the virus until he finds others like him. He dies at the end of the film but does survive in the original book the film is based on. Akiva Goldsman will pen the script for the sequel for Warner Brothers. It’s unknown if The Hunger Games director Francis Lawrence will return for the sequel.

I Am Legend 2 has no set release date.
