Today, the third teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday began playing before screenings of AVATAR: Fire and Ash. The first two trailers focused on Steve Rogers and his newborn baby, and Thor with his adoptive daughter, Love. Now, the third teaser trailer focused on the return of the X-Men.

Spoilers
The trailer shows an empty X-Mansion and a dusty, broken nameplate, Xaver’s School for Gifted Youngsters. We hear Magneto (once again played by Ian McKellen) in a voiceover conversation with Charles Xavier (played by Patrick Stewart). A chessboard is shown, and a King chess piece begins levitating, revealing Magneto and Xavier. Xavier is in his X-wheelchair, wearing his classic comic-accurate blue jumpsuit with a black-and-red X on the front. Magneto will have his classic long white hair from the comics.

The final shot features Cyclops (played by James Marsden) in his comic-book-accurate blue-and-yellow suit from X-Men ’97, taking off his ruby visors and optic blasting the sky while Sentinels close in around him. The teaser ends with the countdown clock to the film’s release.
X-Men: Doomsday is slated to hit theaters on December 18th, 2026
