Today, a report announced that actor Jim Carrey has entered talks to star in an upcoming live-action retro-futuristic Jetsons movie adaptation. The classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon from the 60s is best known alongside titles like Scooby-Doo and The Flintstones.
Carrey is obviously known for classic ’90s comedies like The Mask, Dumb & Dumber, and Ace Ventura, but recently appeared in the massively successful Sonic franchise as Dr. Robotnik. Carrey is expected to play the role of the family’s father, George Jetson. Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World) is in talks to helm the project after writing the script alongside screenwriter Joe Epstein.
