Today, a report announced that Netflix had courted actor Daniel Craig for their upcoming Chronicles of Narnia film. He is best known for his roles as James Bond and, most recently, the Knives Out films. His role is being kept under wraps, and no deal has been signed. However, if the film adapts The Magician’s Nephew, he could play the role of Uncle Andrew, the adult lead in the movie who dabbles in magic and is the uncle of a young Digory Kirke. Kirke would be the first child to be allowed into Narnia during its creation and grow up to become The Professor in the first book. Production begins later this year in the UK. Greta Gerwig is set to helm the massive project.
The Chronicles of Narnia will be released in IMAX on Thanksgiving 2026
