Character Breakdown Casting Call Goes Out For Zack Snyder’s ‘Rebel Moon’

Casting is currently underway on Zack Snyder’s next feature film Rebel Moon. The film was originally a Star Wars spin-off film but has since been rewritten as an original sci-fi epic. The director hired longtime screenwriting collaborators Kurt Johnstad and Shay HattenSofia Boutella was cast last year in the lead role for the upcoming film.

We at Knight Edge Media have learned thanks to Whats on Netflix that she will play the character, Kora. Several other character breakdowns have also been sent out for Noble, Gunnar, and Balisarius.

[KORA]
20 to 40 years old, female, BIPOC or multi-racial athletic, martial arts and fighting skills are a plus.

[NOBLE]
30 to 50 years old, male, white. charismatic and imposing, commanding, brutal to the point of sadistic.

[GUNNAR]
30 to 50 years old, male, white (possibly of UK, Northern
European, Scandinavian descent), handsome, physically fit serious, earnest, responsible and dependable.

[BALISARIUS]
35 to 50 years old, male, of Spanish, Mediterranean, Latinx or Middle-Eastern descent, a ferocious warrior, cunning

Production is expected to begin on April 18th in Los Angeles. The film’s synopsis reads, “When a peaceful colony on the edge of the galaxy finds itself threatened by the armies of the tyrannical Regent Balisarius, they dispatch a young woman with a mysterious past to seek out warriors from neighboring planets to help them take a stand.” Fans have been casting Ray Fisher (Zack Snyder’s Justice League) for a role in Rebel Moon after his praise for the director. It’s unknown if Snyder has contacted Fisher for a potential reunion.
