Today, a report announced that a very early casting call has already begun on director Greta Gerwig’s untitled Chronicles of Narnia live-action movie. The casting call seeks a 10—or 11-year-old boy and girl for the two lead roles. While there are no character breakdowns for the roles, it narrows down which Narnia book Gerwig will adapt. The two that jump out with just two lead protagonists include The Silver Chair and The Magician’s Nephew.
In The Silver Chair, Eustace Scrubb and his classmate Jill Pole travel to Narnia in search of King Caspian’s son, Prince Rilian. While in The Magician’s Nephew, a young Digory Kirke and his friend Polly Plummer travel to Narnia during its original creation by Aslan. Production of the untitled film begins in June in the United Kingdom and runs through December.
