Today, a report announced that director Michael Gracey is in talks to helm Walt Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of Tangled. Gracey is best known for directing The Greatest Showman in 2017. The original animated movie is a remake of Rapunzel’s classic story. This film has been long rumored to be in development at Disney alongside the live-action Moana movie (now in production) and possibly Frozen. Last summer, the studio wanted to court Florence Pugh for the role before the actors went on strike, prohibiting those discussions. Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Do Revenge, Thor: Love and Thunder) penned the most recent draft of the script.
