Over the weekend, many stars from different Walt Disney projects descended upon São Paulo for D23 Brazil. During the Percy Jackson and the Olympians panel on Sunday, it was revealed that actress Andra Day would be taking on the role of the goddess Athena, mother of Annabeth. Athena is expected to have a more significant role as the series continues. Day only recently made her acting debut in 2021’sThe United States vs. Billie Holiday. Production is still underway in Vancouver until the end of January 2025.
