Today, a report has gone out that actress Julia Garner has joined the cast of Marvel Studios’ upcoming Fantastic Four reboot. She joins Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. She will play a female version of the Silver Surfer named Shalla-Bal. In the comics, she is the wife of Norrin Radd, the original Silver Surfer, and also becomes a hero to Galactus. We at Knight Edge Media heard a rumor that the film would start with a female herald but end with the introduction to Norrin Radd’s version. It would make sense for Norrin to take the place of his wife to save her from serving Galactus. Matt Shakman will direct the film with a screenplay by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer. Production begins later this summer.

The Fantastic Four hits theaters on July 25th, 2025
