Today, Daniel Ritchman revealed on his Patreon that thriller director Mike Flanagan has entered talks to helm a Labyrinth reboot movie. The director recently completed his tenure at Netflix with the release of The Fall of the House of Usher but is mostly known for The Haunting of Hill House and Midnight Mass. Flanagan also was able to adapt Stephen King’s novel Doctor Sleep. He is expected to reboot The Dark Tower for Amazon Prime, so it’s unknown when he will have time to also do Labyrinth. The original 1986 film features singer David Bowie in the role of the Goblin King. The reboot will be produced by Tristar, a subsidiary of Sony Pictures.
