Director Taika Waititi was present to promote his latest film, Next Goal Wins. Business Insider spoke to the director about his time on the hugely acclaimed Thor: Ragnarok and the massive disappointment Thor: Love & Thunder. Waititi has revealed that unless Marvel Studios waits 5 or 6 years, he will not be part of the upcoming Thor 5: “I wouldn’t know if that’s accurate. I know that I won’t be involved…I’m going to concentrate on these other films that I’ve signed on for.” This comes off the recent online rumors that Waititi had some ideas on where to take Thor next, but that seems to have been put to bed. The director added, “I’d imagine another ‘Thor’ would be a lot sooner than that…But I love Marvel, I love working with them. I love Chris. We’re in an open relationship, and it’s like if they want to see other people, I’m happy for that. I’d still get back into bed with them one day.” Marvel Studios has yet to announce Thor 5 officially is part of their upcoming slate of films.
