Today, rumors began swirling online that actor Ben Affleck was spotted on set for Deadpool 3, currently filmed in the UK. Deadpool 3 has been long rumored to feature the Fox multiverse, much like Spider-Man: No Way Home featured the Sony multiverse. Many cameos from past Fox-Marvel films have been rumored, including the original X-Men and the original Fantastic Four from the early 2000s.

Now, while it’s unknown if Affleck is in the film (officially), it’s hard to argue the film couldn’t feature him from Daredevil, given its connection to 20th Century Fox. The Daredevil directors cut has also gained a huge cult following over the years compared to the theatrical cut. Allowing Affleck to cameo as the Fox-Universe Matt Murdock in a one-off could be a fun surprise alongside the other Fox characters. Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman return as Deadpool and Wolverine. Shawn Levy has been tapped to direct the multiverse film.

Deadpool 3 is now slated to hit theaters on May 3rd, 2024
