Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Donald Glover is developing another obscure Spider-Man villain into their own spin-off film for Sony Pictures in the Hypno-Hustler. The character s considered one of Spider-Man’s lamest villains from the comics, but Glover is looking to put a spin on the character during development. Glover originally appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming as Aaron Davis, the villain known as the Prowler though nothing came of his character since the cameo.

Meanwhile, the Hypno-Hustler typically uses 70’s disco music as his primary weapon. Glover may update the character to feature more modern hip-hop, like in Glover’s music career as Childish Gambino. It’s unknown where this character will fit in the Sony-verse alongside Venom, Morbius, Kraven the Hunter, and Madame Web.
