Today, Deadline announced that screenwriter Michael Waldron has been tapped to pen the screenplay for the upcoming mega-crossover event Avengers: Secret Wars. Waldron has been Feige’s “go-to” writer throughout The Multiverse Saga as he helped write both Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This also comes off the announcement that Jeff Loveness will pen Avengers: The Kang Dynasty following his time on Ant-Man 3.

It’s been rumored that the studio may look to Ryan Coogler to direct the film after his time on two Black Panther films. Though usually, Coogler writes his own films he directs. It should be noted Secret Wars could potentially feature actors from any past Marvel Entertainment film from the early 2000s to reprise their roles. Though it’s unknown who will actually answer the call.

Avengers: Secret Wars will hit theaters November 8th, 2025
