Last night, the first teaser trailer for Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power debuted during the Super Bowl. While short, it did show the first footage looks of many characters, including the main character young Galadriel played by Morfydd Clark. The teaser also revealed the first First Age battle with her brother Finrod. Fellowship of Fans confirmed that actor Will Fletcher would play the role of Galadirel’s oldest murdered brother. His character was also confirmed to be standing in the released teaser image in 2021.

In the books, Finrod was a First Age elf and known as a “friend to Men.” The series follows a young Galadriel as she searches for the remanence of an evil shadow that she still believes is in Middle-Earth. Her brother will be long dead by the time the series starts, but the first three episodes will serve as a prologue to the rest of the series.

Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will stream on Amazon Prime on September 2nd
