Speculation has been running rampant ever since Amazon Studios dropped the first character posters for Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Many characters are still unknown for the show, but some have been leaked online. The show will feature younger versions of Galadriel (played by Morfydd Clark) and Elrond (played by Robert Aramayo). However, it has always been discussed which actor would play elven blacksmith Celebrimbor. According to our friends over at Fellowship of Fans actor, Charles Edward will play the role of the elven lord. Edward is best known as a stage actor and appearing in the early seasons of The Crown.
The Second Age character came to mainstream audiences with The Shadow of Mordor video game series. He is directly responsible for the forging of the Rings of Power with his assistant, Annatar (Sauron in disguise). He forges The Nine Rings for Men and Seven Rings for the Dwarves with Annatar’s help (and influence). He also forges the Three Rings for the Elven Kings without Annatar’s help in secret. Annatar eventually travels back to Mordor to forge The One Ring as Sauron. Using his influence in the other rings of power with The One Ring, Sauron ensnares the nine mortal men to become the Nazgul.
