Today, Variety announced that screenwriter Jeb Stuart had been tapped to write Assassin’s Creed live-action series for Netflix. Stuart is the franchise writer for the Die Hard series dating back to 1988. In October, the series was previously announced after Netflix signed an exclusive deal with Ubisoft to develop projects based on their top video game franchises.

Michael Fassbender starred in the 2016 live-action film that was expected to spawn multiple sequels but was critically panned by fans and critics. It’s unknown which Assassin this series will follow or be another original character introduced.
