Recently, Deadline announced that actor and martial artist Donnie Yen has joined the cast of John Wick 4. The next chapter in the hyper-violent John Wick franchise will see the return of Keanu Reeves in the title role. Yen plays an old friend of John’s with the same enemies.
Donnie Yen is best known for the IP Man franchise. As well as appearing in Mulan, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and xXx: Return of Xander Cage. Lionsgate is producing the project once again. Chad Stahelski returns to direct the film with a screenplay by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch. Stahelski added: “We are very lucky to have Donnie Yen join the franchise. I am looking forward to working with him in this exciting new role.”
