Maribel Verdú Joins DC Comics ‘The Flash’ Movie; Billy Crudup Drops Out

Today, The Hollywood Reporter announced that Pan’s Labyrinth star Maribel Verdú has joined the cast of The Flash feature film. She will play Barry Allen’s murdered mother Nora Allen. In the Flashpoint comic, Reverse-Flash goes and murders Nora Allen framing her husband Henry Allen. However, Barry decided to go back in time using the Speed Force to save her but it changes every aspect of the DC Universe.

It was also revealed that Justice League star Billy Cudrup has had to drop out of the feature film as Henry Allen due to scheduling conflicts. He will be seen next week in Zack Snyder’s Justice League but expected to be recast. Finally, Keirsey Clemons who was originally cut from 2017’s Justice League as Iris West will return for the feature film. It took several months to work out her schedule but was able to make it work. She will make her DC Comics debut in Zack Snyder’s Justice League next week. Production begins later this year…
