‘Hawkeye’ Spin-Off Series Based On ‘Echo’ In-Development At Disney+

Today, Variety announced that a new Marvel Studios spin-off series is in early development based on Echo. Echo will first appear in Hawkeye later this year starring Jeremy Renner & Hailee Steinfeld. She will be played by actress Alaqua Cox in the upcoming series. In the comics, Maya Lopez is a deaf Native-American crime fighter that can mimic anybody’s fighting style much like Taskmaster. In real life, Cox is also a deaf actress which helped give representation to disabled actors. Etan Cohen and Emily Cohen are attached to write and produce the spin-off series.

Echo has  no set release date but will stream on Disney+
