Disney’s ‘Pinocchio’ Live-Action Remake Cast Announced Including Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Jiminy Cricket

Today, The Wrap followed by The Hollywood Reporter announced the full cast for Disney’s Pinocchio live-action remake. The reports mention that Benjamin Evan Ainsworth will voice the wooden puppet in the film. He joins the previously announced Tom Hanks who will play the toymaker Geppetto. Keegan-Michael Key also joined the cast as Honest John.

The report also states that Harriet star Cynthia Erivo will play the Blue Fairy who turns Pinocchio into a real boy. With Joseph Gordon-Levitt providing his voice to Jiminy Crickett. Lastly, Lorraine Bracco will voice Sofia the Seagull a new character for the remake. Robert Zemeckis is set to helm the massive project for the studio.
