‘Ready Player Two’ Is Now In Early Development

Director Steven Spielberg wowed audiences with his mega-crossover film Ready Player One. The film saw many Warner Brothers characters crossover just as they did in the novel grossing over $582 million. The second novel Ready Player Two was released on November 24th, 2020 at bookstores everywhere. It has now been revealed that a feature film adaptation for the second novel is in early development by Daniel Ritchman on his Patreon.

Author Ernest Cline also revealed to Inverse.com that the second film is indeed on the way

“It’s in the early stages right now, especially since Hollywood is in limbo right now. But I can tell from the experience of making the first movie that everybody had a lot of fun,”

It’s unknown if Steven Spielberg will return as director on the sequel.
