Several months ago, Disney announced they would not move forward with their Spiderwick Chronicles reboot series. This comes after the series was already completed filming and deep in post-production. The cancelation was due to the ongoing WGA and SAG strikes in order to save money. The report mentioned the studio would try to sell the project to another streaming service. Many assumed it would go to Paramount+ as the original film was produced by the studio.
