Today, Deadline announced that Bob’s Burgers writers The Molyneux Sisters have been tapped to pen Deadpool 3 starring Ryan Reynolds. We had heard last year that the project was in early development. However, over the last month, Ryan Reynolds along with Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has held several pitch meetings for the upcoming hard-R sequel.

The two sisters beat out other fellow writers’ ideas for the Merc with a Mouth now appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This also reveals that original Deadpool & Deadpool 2 writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will not be returning for the film. Once again, the film is still expected to be a hard-R despite being under the Disney banner post-merger. The door is “open” for Deadpool 2 director David Leitch to return however he was not apart of the writer’s meeting so it is doubtful.
