Today, a report announced that Nick Frost and actress Janet McTeer have entered final talks for HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter reboot TV series. McTeer was first rumored on Reddit some months ago alongside other actresses for the role of Professor Minerva McGonagall. McTeer is best known for her role on Netflix’s Ozark. Nick Frost has entered final talks for the ever-lovable Rubeus Hagrid. At one point, the studio was looking at Brett Goldstein for the role, which upset many fans who wanted a larger comedic actor for the role.
We at Knight Edge Media had suggested Nick Frost for the role, and it looks like it has come to pass. Frost is best known for his roles in Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz, but will also appear in this year’s How to Train Your Dragon live-action remake. They join John Lithgow (The Crown, The Old Man) and Paapa Essiedu (I May Destroy You) as Professor Dumbledore and Professor Snape. Production begins later this summer in Leavesden, UK.
