Sophie Turner Will Star As Lara Croft in Amazon’s ‘Tomb Raider’ Live-Action TV Series

Today, a report announced that actress Sophie Turner is set to star as Lara Croft in Prime Video’s upcoming Tomb Raider live-action TV series. This upcoming series will be a reboot of the 2018 film starring Alicia Vikander, which was a reboot of Angelina Jolie’s films. Netflix also recently released an anime based on the popular video game this year starring Hayley Atwell.

Head writer and producer Phoebe Waller-Bridge has long developed this upcoming series. Turner is best known for her role as Sansa Stark in the original Game of Thrones series and Jean Grey in the recent X-Men films. She beat out fellow actresses Mackenzie Davis (Station Eleven), Emma Mackey (Sex Education), and Lucy Boynton (Bohemian Rhapsody) for the role.
