Over a year ago, director Michael Bay approached Paramount Pictures to possibly return for a new Transformers film. The director left the franchise after Transformers: The Last Knight in 2017. Since then, we have gotten an arguably great Bumblebee origin movie in 2018 and a just-OK Transformers: Rise of the Beasts in 2023. We at Knight Edge Media have heard that Bay was circling a return earlier this week, but couldn’t verify it. Now, a new report confirms he is in final negotiations on the film, and the final hang-up is that he has final say on the final cut, not the studio. It’s unknown if any of the previous actors on Bay’s films will return for this new sequel. Jason Fuchs is set to pen the script. Steven Spielberg is expected to return and produce.
Michael Bay’s untitled Transformers sequel has no set release date
