Today, Netflix officially announced that it has pushed Greta Gerwig’s Narnia reboot to 2027. The film was originally expected to hit exclusively IMAX theaters this Thanksgiving and then stream on Netflix for Christmas. It looks like the studio needs more time in post-production, and it will now be released in IMAX on February 12th, 2027, in time for Valentine’s Day, before streaming on April 2nd, 2027. They also reveal that the film will be released theatrically fully for an expanded wide release alongside IMAX. The streaming service also confirms that the two lead child actors, Polly Plummer and Digory Kirke, will be played by British actors Beatrice Campbell and David McKenna. Emma MaKay will also star as Jadis the White Witch. Meryl Streep is rumored to be voicing a new incarnation of Aslan.
