Avengers: Doomsday recently wrapped up production in the UK with almost no leaks. Marvel Studios announced most of the cast back in April at the start of production. The giant ensemble cast included members of the Thunderbolts, Fantastic Four, and the legacy X-Men. Other characters set to appear included Thor, Captain America, Ant-Man, and Shang-Chi from this past phase. After the announcement, it was quickly mentioned that these won’t be the only characters in the movie, and many more cameos will happen.

During production, a rumor began spreading that Tobey Maguire might have been secretly injured on set while filming was ongoing, but it was never confirmed or reported. Now, we have learned in a Patreon post from DanielRPK that Tobey Maguire will indeed appear in Avengers: Doomsday as the only Spider-Man variant. We at Knight Edge Media have heard separately that he is indeed in the movie. His appearance as the only Spider-Man suggests he may die at the hands of Doctor Doom and that Avengers: Secret Wars will feature only Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield‘s versions of Spider-Man in the aftermath. While others have suggested they will all be reunited in Secret Wars once again, and his Peter Parker will survive. Though that is pure speculation, and his exact role is currently unknown. Marvel Studios has yet to announce Maguire’s return, and it should still be considered a rumor.
