Today, during Walt Disney’s Upfront event, the studio announced that actress Krysten Ritter will officially return for Daredevil: Born Again season 2 as Jessica Jones. Marvel Studios has long wanted the actress to return for the sequel series after her time on the Netflix show. She appeared as the character in two seasons of her show but then teamed up with Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist in The Defenders.

I’m so excited to bring back this iconic character, and without giving too much away, there is much more in store for Jessica Jones. This is going to be an incredible season!”- Krysten Ritter
She joins Jon Bernthal, who appeared in the first season of Born Again as fan-favorite, The Punisher. She will join the team of good cops and Daredevil, ready to take down The Kingpin’s anti-vigilante task force. It’s unknown if Mike Colter or Finn Jones will also appear in the upcoming season. Production is currently underway in New York City.
