Today, a report announced that the long-in-development Highlander remake has moved production from Lionsgate to Amazon MGM. The film rights will now be under the United Artists banner of Amazon MGM Studios. Henry Cavill is still attached to star in the film, and Chad Stahelski is set to direct. The duo came on stage at CinemaCon 2024 to promote the upcoming film, but Stahelski has worked hard on many other projects. He is currently attached to Ghost of Tsushima, Rainbow Six, and the recently announced John Wick 5. It’s unknown when the film will go into production.
