Today, a report announced that actress Sadie Sink had joined the cast of Marvel Studios and Sony Picture’s upcoming untitled sequel Spider-Man 4. The official title of the film has yet to be announced. She is best known for her role on Netflix’s Stranger Things. The film is expected to go into production later this year after star Tom Holland is done filming The Odyssey and Avengers: Doomsday.
It’s unknown who from the previous films will return for the sequel beyond Zendaya as Michelle Jones-Watson. It’s unknown who Sink will play in the movie, but they could finally introduce Gwen Stacy or Black Cat into the MCU franchise. Another possible character she could play is the redhead mutant Firestar, who first appeared in 1981’s Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends animated series. Destin Daniel Cretton has taken over to direct from former director Jon Watts. Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal have returned to produce for Marvel and Sony.
Spider-Man 4 is slated to hit theaters on July 31st, 2026
