Today, we at Knight Edge Media learned of several writers who have been working on the Avatar: Seven Havens animated series since early 2023. The writer’s room for the upcoming Avatar Studios series includes M. Willis, Jennifer Cho Suhr, and newcomer Michelle Miyoko Timm. Previous Avatar: The Last Airbender producer Ethan Spaulding and screenwriter Sehaj Sethi (The Winchesters) will co-produce the series. Emmy-winner Chad Quandt (Star Trek: Prodigy, Uniktty) also serves as story editor on the show, and Aishwarya Noubad is the script coordinator. The upcoming show follows twin Avatars, Pavi and Nisha, in a post-apocalyptic wasteland following the events of The Legend of Korra.
Of all the writers, M. Willis has the most experience in the group as she has previously worked on several beloved animated shows, including My Adventures with Superman, She-Ra: Princess of Power, and Star Trek: Lower Decks. Jennifer Cho Suhr has worked on more minor animated children’s shows such as Karma’s World and Lyla in the Loop. The most interesting addition to the writer’s room includes newcomer Michelle Miyoko Timm. She has no writing credits to her name, but she participated in the Nickelodeon Writing Program in 2023 and was shortly added to the series following her submission. While this is not a complete list of the writers working on the 26-episode series, it gives an idea of the type of talent added to the team at Avatar Studios.
