Jon Bernthal Joins Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’

Jon Bernthal joins the ensemble cast of The Odyssey adaption from director Christopher Nolan.

Today, a report announced that actor Jon Bernthal had joined the ensemble cast of The Odyssey. The film adapts the classic Homer poem of the same name. He joins the previously announced cast that includes Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, and Lupita Nyong’o. A new report states that Holland will star in the film’s lead, but typically, the story includes a much older Odysseus after the Trojan War. Unknown if the film will be from the point of view of his son Telemachus. Christopher Nolan is set to write and direct the film.

The Odyssey hits theaters on July 17th, 2026
