Beck Bennett Joins James Gunn’s ‘Superman’ as Reporter Steve Lombard

In a minor update, director James Gunn has announced that actor Beck Bennett has joined the ensemble cast of his upcoming Superman feature film. The actor is best known for his comedic act on Saturday Night Live. The original reports stated that Bennett revealed that the actor was going to play a “known reporter from the Daily Planet” alongside Lois Lane (played by Rachel Brosnahan) and Jimmy Olsen (played by Skyler Gisondo). The director went on to confirm that the actor was going to play Steve Lombard. Production of the upcoming DC Studios reboot is currently underway in Atlanta.

Superman is scheduled to fly into theaters on July 11th, 2025
