Today, Jeff Sneider revealed on his website that Marvel Studios is close to selecting its writers for the upcoming X-Men reboot. Rafe Judkins is best known for show running the Amazon high-fantasy series The Wheel of Time. Michael Lesslie is best known for penning 2016’s Assassin’s Creed adaption and, most recently, co-wrote The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.  After the fantastic premiere of X-Men 97, many fans hoped that some of the writers from the animated series would be considered for the live-action feature film. However, it has been previously reported that showrunner Beau DeMayo was fired from the show for an unannounced reason. It should be noted that another writer could be announced for the project as well. No director has been attached to the upcoming reboot.
