Today, we at Knight Edge Media have learned that actress Momona Tamada has joined the cast of the Happy Face. Tamada is best known for her roles in kid-friendly shows like The Babysitters Club, The Spiderwick Chronicles, and, most recently, Avatar: The Last Airbender. This will be her first step into an adult drama that follows the real-life killing of Melissa Moore, where the serial killer would leave smiley faces on evidence to taunt police of his crimes. Tamada’s role is kept under wraps but described as a recurring guest role.
She joins James Wolk (Ordinary Joe), Annaleigh Ashford (Welcome to Chippendales), and Dennis Quaid (Strays, Lawmen: Bass Reeves) as the real-life serial killer Keith Hunter Jesperson. The 8-episode season will be produced by CBS Studios alongside King Size Productions, iHeartPodcasts, and Semi-Formal Productions. Production begins in Vancouver sometime this spring.
Happy Face will debut sometime in 2025 on Paramount+
